Ballerina Outfit
This little outfit is my favorite! I know I say that about a lot of outfits I make, but this one definitely makes my top five. I found this pattern at Hobby Lobby for 99 cents, but it is also on Etsy from Tenderfeet Stitches. It is a faux tie-up bodice with a double (or triple layer) skirt. The pattern was missing the ruffle pieces, whoops. Oh well, I figured it out. I used Ballerina handkerchiefs I found from Hobby Lobby. I thought this would be a cheap project since the handkerchiefs were only $1, but turned out I needed like 4...plus I bought a yard of purple broadcloth and a zipper...so that was another $6, you do the math. Not too expensive I guess, but it sure took a lot of time...all those loops and ruffles! I really like the sleeves, very unique. I like that they are not sleeves in the traditional sense (those always seem to double the time on a project anyway) but they still cover her shoulders. I really like this dress a lot with the sleeves, and the back! It's unique and so darling!!
